Opinions are like glass,
they’re translucent and,
to a careful touch, they
feel pretty sturdy.

But smear your hand
across or just simply add
a little bit of pressure
and they shatter.

Facts are like diamonds,
they glimmer and shine
and know their own worth,
they scratch reality.

You can wear them for eternity,
drag a knuckle across the
surface of the sun and
they will only ask
how it has been done.
